We are pleased to introduce The Peninsula’s new Executive Chef, Robert Daugherty. Chef Robert comes to us most recently from the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cambridge Massachusetts, where he oversaw the kitchen operations of this 470 room, four Diamond luxury property. During his twenty five plus year career Chef Robert worked for the Hyatt Corporation for the past 16 years in both Cambridge and Newport, RI. During that period he was recognized by Hyatt for achieving many goals set before him and was awarded Chef of the Year for two consecutive years.

Chef Robert is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. He was also an Adjunct Professor at Boston University’s School of Hospitality.
He has been very involved with mentoring young culinarians through the American Culinary Federation and volunteering his time to local charities and work education programs.
Chef Robert now joins our team here at The Peninsula where he will work with Sous Chef Carolyn Torres, Assistant Director Eric Taylor and the rest of the Food & Beverage team. Their goal is to ensure our dining, banquet, and events execution is second-to-none in Delaware.
Chef Robert will be joining us at the end of August. We are looking forward to his arrival!
